🇬🇧 The Czech Event Association Annual Awards 2026 are now open.

New: International event organisers are now eligible to enter if they delivered an event project in the Czech Republic in 2025.

Still thinking about it? Apply.

Your work deserves to be seen.

If you are considering entering the competition, please find below a brief explanation of how the award system works and how to choose the right category for your project.

Competition Structure

The awards are divided into ELITE and SINGLE categories, each designed for a different type of submission.

ELITE Categories – Full Project Evaluation

ELITE categories are intended for projects that should be presented in their full strategic and creative complexity.

Projects are evaluated according to three main criteria:

  • Creativity
  • Complexity & execution
  • Impact and results

The best-rated projects advance to a second round, where they are presented and defended in person before an expert jury.

SINGLE Categories – Focus on Excellence

SINGLE categories are suitable for specific achievements that stand out in one particular area — either a specific type of event or an individual event discipline (e.g. AV, catering, engagement, sustainability).

Participants submit an entry form and describe the uniqueness and quality of the project in the selected category.

Submitting One Project to Multiple Categories

One project may be submitted to multiple categories, subject to specific rules:

  • In ELITE categories, the differences between submissions must be clearly explained (target audience, objectives, impact, results, etc.).
  • Submitting one project to multiple ELITE categories requires approval from the category guarantors and the jury chair.
  • A project cannot be submitted simultaneously to ELITE categories and SINGLE Category 3 or 5.

Language & Presentation

Entries may be submitted in English.

Live presentations and project defenses in the second round can also be conducted in English.

Categories Overview

Please refer to the table below for a detailed overview of all ELITE and SINGLE categories available in the competition.

How to Choose the Right Category

When selecting a category, we recommend considering what best represents the strength of your project.

  • Choose an ELITE category if your project should be evaluated as a comprehensive event, including strategy, creativity, execution, and measurable impact.
  • Choose a SINGLE category if your project excels primarily in one specific area — such as a particular event format, production discipline, or focused execution element.

If you are unsure which category is most suitable for your project, you are welcome to contact the organizers for guidance prior to submission.

Can international projects participate?

Yes. The competition is open to international participants and projects, provided they meet the eligibility criteria.

In which language can I submit my project?

Projects may be submitted in English. Personal presentations and project defenses can also be conducted in English.

Do I have to attend the event in person?

Personal attendance is required only for shortlisted ELITE category projects advancing to the second round. Other categories do not require live presentation.

Can one project be submitted to multiple categories?

Yes, subject to competition rules. Please refer to the detailed category guidelines for limitations and approval requirements.

Are there special conditions for non-profit or student projects?

Yes. Submissions in selected non-profit categories are free of charge.
